Home size or space
Larger homes usually require a bit more BTUs to heat/cool than smaller homes do. We use a slightly increasing sliding scale for 1,500 square feet and up.
The insulation of your home/space
Well insulated spaces heat up and cool down slightly quicker, and stay that way longer. We take that into account when sizing your system. Better insulated spaces need less BTUs to heat and cool them, and less insulated spaces need more BTUs to heat and cool them.
The heating/cooling region you're in
Hotter climates require a larger heat pump to cool because of their extreme temperatures. Heat pumps have BTU output ranges for different outdoor temperatures. And because heat pumps do both heating and cooling, it's the same thing in the opposite direction. The colder your climate, the larger the heat pump you'll need to keep up with your heating demands.

Q10. Why is water coming out of my heat pump water heater?
A. It is normal for water to drain out of your heat pump water heater's condensate line. All heat pump water heaters have a condensate drain line to remove water that has condensed from the warm air that was drawn into the unit to heat the water in the tank.
Q11. How do I find the age of my water heater?
A.Start by checking for a manufacturer label on the side of your water heater. If it has a label, it should include the installation date. If the label is missing, or the installation date is not listed, you can use the serial number to determine the age of your unit. Visit the serial number decoder.
Fault Protection Instructions
1.The machine stops running when a fault is detected;
2.When the fault is removed, the compressor is shut down for three minutes before the machine can be put back into operation;
3.If there are three consecutive low-pressure faults, high-pressure fault, over the current spot, and gas exhaust temperature too high within 30 minutes, the machine will immediately stop running. After the fault is rectified, turn the power on again, start the controller, and the device can be put into operation.
4.If the machine stops running due to the inlet water temperature sensor or the coil temperature sensor fault due to compressor protection, the device will have to be back into operation 3mins later after the spot is removed. If the ambient temperature sensor fails, the machine continues to run.
Maintenance Instructions
1.The machine is equipped with an inspection needle valve on the suction and exhaust pipes. The maintenance personnel can connect the pressure gauge to check the high and low-pressure conditions of the system.
2.If the machine is filled with refrigerant under operating conditions, the refrigerant must be served at the needle valve of the low-pressure side. Suppose the refrigerant is added to the suction side. In that case, the refrigerant opening must be small so that the refrigerant in the refrigerant bottle slowly enters the system to prevent liquid slamming.
3.Refrigerant leakage detection
Check if there is any leakage at the joints with soapy water or a refrigerant leak detector. When a refrigerant leak occurs, the leak point must be found, and the leak point must be repaired. Please ensure no refrigerant or other pressures are left in the system when improving the leak point. Otherwise, it will easily cause copper pipe explosive during welding. The tube is blasted by refrigerant pressure or additional pressure, causing accidental injury to the operator.
Note: When refrigerant leakage occurs in a small space, open all vents or forced ventilation to discharge the refrigerant before performing related operations to prevent people from suffering accidents.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
This Limited Warranty is the only Warranty for this unit given by the Water Heater Division of Rheem Manufacturing Company. No one is authorized to make any other warranties on behalf of Shengyu.
EFFECTIVE DATE
The Effective Date of warranty coverage (or the beginning of the Applicable Warranty Periods) is the date of installation of the water heater, if properly documented. Otherwise, it is the date of manufacture of the water heater plus ninety (90) days.
COVERAGE:
Warranties cover defective glass linings,compressors and parts. The period is reduced to one year (for six year warranties) or three years (for 10 year warranties) if the water heater is being used for non-residential use.
In order for the warranty to be valid for the maximum period, the homeowner must be able to provide proof of the sales date. Otherwise, the warranty begins at the date listed on the ratings plate.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS:
This Limited Warranty will not cover:
Service trips to your home to teach you how to install, use, or maintain this water heater or to bring the water heater installation into compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Damages, malfunctions or failures resulting from failure to install the water heater in accordance with applicable building codes/ordinances or good plumbing and electrical trade practices.
Damages, malfunctions, or failures resulting from improper installation or failure to operate and maintain the water heater in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions provided.
Performance problems caused by improper sizing of the water heater or (pertaining to electric models) electric service voltage, wiring, or fusing.
Damages, malfunctions, or failures caused by operating the water heater with the anode rod removed or with modified, altered, or unapproved parts installed.
Damages, malfunctions, or failures caused by abuse, accident, fire, flood, freeze, lightning, acts of God, and the like.
Tank failures (leaks) caused by operating the water heater in a corrosive or contaminated atmosphere.
Damages, malfunctions, or failures caused by operating the water heater with an empty, or partially empty, tank (also known as “dry firing”).
Damages, malfunctions, or failures caused by operating the unit at water temperatures exceeding the maximum setting of the operating, or high limit, control.
Tank failures caused by operating the water heater when it is not supplied with potable water, free to cir- culate at all times.
Damages, malfunctions or failures caused by subjecting the tank to pressures, or firing rates, greater than those shown on the rating label.
Damages, malfunctions or failures resulting from the use of any attachment, including any energy saving device, not authorized by Rheem.
Units installed outside the fifty states (and the District of Columbia) of the United States of America.
Units removed from the original installation location.
Units that have had their rating labels removed. A water heater should not be operated if the rating label is removed.
